Robert L. Ferguson of Osterville, Mass. passed away peacefully with his family beside him on Dec. 11, 2011 from complications of pneumonia.
Bob was born in Jamestown, N.D. on Dec. 7, 1932, son of the late Clifford and Gertrude (May) Ferguson. He was raised in Minneapolis and graduated from the University of Minnesota. During service in the Navy, he attained the rank of commander. After retiring from the Naval Reserves, he continued his lifelong passion for aviation by fulfilling his boyhood dream of owning and flying his P-51D Mustang.
Bob and his wife Joanne started St. Moritz Ice Skating Studio together in 1958. The buisness evolved into the Ski Market chain of retail stores.
