A charming compilation built around a Seattle visit with Otto by a Austrian TV producer.
Lang offers some thoughtful looks back amid skiing scenes mainly taken from Dr. Fanck's "Der Weisse Rausch" - 1931 and from Otto's "Ski Patrol" a "how to ski" training film made for the US Army in 1941. The interview and film do not tread upon any of the more controversial reflections, like the internment of Sun Valley's Austrian and German Ski Instructors at the outbreak of World War Two. I would have liked a more focusd look at Lang's Ski Career, including Pecketts Inn where he began his career or how he opened three Ski Schools in the Cascades, one at Mt. Rainier, Mt. Hood and Mt. Baker and managed to commute between them. But it is wonderful to share some moments with this great Ski Pioneer in his ninty - third year...
